Canoeing and Kayaking in Meath
Courses 2010
The club will be organising and running level 2 and level 3 courses throughout the coming year details of which are outlined below.
Level 4 and level 5 courses are organised through the Irish Canoe Union details of these courses can be accessed at http://www.canoe.ie/
Level 2 Introductory Courses
The club will be running a series of introductory courses throughout the summer of 2010 , theses course are based at the clubhouse at Watergate Street, Trim and include membership of the club for 1 year. The courses are run by qualified instructors and on successful completion of the course an Irish Canoe Union Level 2 Kayak Skills certificate is awarded.
Equipment
Our course provides all of the kayak equipement required, all that you need to bring are a couple of tee-shirts , shorts and an old pair of runners,
Courses are held from 10am to 3pm over three days with a maximum group of 8 participants, further details are provided once you book your place. To book a place on a course please download the application form and email it to info@trimcanoeclub.ie.

Level 3 Kayaking Skills
The club will be running a series of level 3 kayak skills courses throughout 2010 , theses course are based on various rivers of grade 2 level. The courses are run by qualified instructors and on successful completion of the course and the assessment an Irish Canoe Union Level 3 Kayak Skills certificate is awarded.
Equipment
Our course can provide equipment if required but it is recommended that participants have there own personal equipment that is suitable for winter paddling.
Courses are held from 10am to 3pm over three days with a maximum group of 6 participants, further details are provided once you book your place. It is a requirement that attendees
on the course will have paddling on a regular basis for 3 months on grade 2 rivers. The syllabus for the course can be downloaded here.
